I had the smoked chicken bowl. Service was good, but I can tell it was the end of the night. No complaints, though. The bowl was good and I also had a house marg.

Great friendly staff who take excellent care of their guests. Food came out promptly and was great. I had the brisket and shrimp fajitas and they were great. The tortillas were warm and fresh, the brisket was tender and had great flavor. Matched with the food I had a Watermellon margarita and it was very refreshing and tasted great! If you are looking for a fancier take on Mexican food, this is your place!

I had the brisket quesadillas and my husband had the pork burrito bowl. And we had the rojo and verde salsas with chips. Omgoodness everything was delicious. Almost everything is homemade including the chips. And you can taste it! Tristan was our server and he was great. He anticipated our needs and we never had to ask for anything.

Let me set the scene: It’s a warm evening in Montgomery, the air humming with Southern charm, and there, behind the bar at Little Donkey, stands a woman who doesn’t just mix drinks — she crafts *liquid poetry*. Her name? **Lauren.** And she is, without question, a bartending legend in the making. Lauren isn’t just serving cocktails — she’s conducting a *symphony* of spirits, weaving together flavor, flair, and a touch of what I can only assume is ancient mixological magic. I watched her build a margarita with the precision of a watchmaker and the flair of a Vegas headliner. Salt rim? Perfect. Lime wedge? Sculpted like it belonged in a gallery. Tequila? Poured like a blessing from the gods of agave. She doesn’t just *make* drinks — she makes *moments*. Need a recommendation? Lauren doesn’t blink. She sizes you up like a psychic with a shaker and delivers the exact drink you didn’t know you were craving. Sweet, spicy, smoky, sour — she speaks fluent cocktail in every dialect. But the real kicker? Her energy. Lauren’s presence behind the bar is electric — a magnetic mix of Southern hospitality, effortless cool, and razor-sharp wit. She’ll remember your name, your order, and probably your zodiac sign if you hang around long enough. She runs the bar like it’s her stage, and everyone lucky enough to be on the other side of the counter is in for a five-star show. Little Donkey might serve up some of the best tacos in town, but Lauren? She’s the *main course* in spirit and style. I came in thirsty, I left *transformed*. If I could bottle her charisma and mixology skills, I’d have the most sought-after elixir in the South. Someone give this woman a crown, a cocktail line, and her own Netflix series. 11/10. I’d let her garnish my *soul*.

Have been to Little Donkey on numerous occasions and will continue to come back as their food is always delicious. The taco plate is a great deal and subbing their street corn for the side of rice and beans is a must. House marg is very tasty and the gulf fish taco was my favorite. The service is always friendly and efficient, and share great suggestions. Clean restaurant with a nice lively atmosphere.

Absolutely excellent. The Little Donkey is a local restaurant serving Mexican/Southern fusion. The food is fresh, high quality, and served up beautifully, and the menu is just right - not too big. The wait staff is friendly and welcoming, and really into the food they serve. I had a great experience, and I highly recommend this restaurant to foodie tourists looking for local flavor, and as a great place to go for date night.

Always a good spot to stop in on a weekend night. The service was quick and problem free. We enjoyed our watermelon margaritas and frozen sangria. I am now addicted to their watermelon margaritas. I also gave the smoked chicken bowl a try and it was healthy and filling. I also discovered the Mexican pizza and it was loaded with ground beef, such a delicious spicy pizza.
